Singita Sweni Lodge (Lebombo Private Reserve, Kruger Park) South Africa

Singita Sweni Lodge (Lebombo Private Reserve, Kruger Park) South Africa -

Travelers along the single dust road into this remote wilderness have been overwhelmed by the scale, and the silence.

Rangers who have walked on foot through the area say it has the largest concentration of game they¹ve seen in Kruger.

The Lodge rests lightly among the ancient boulders of the Lebombo mountains, overlooking the African plain where two rivers meet. Singita Lebombo has been described as the Jewel of the Kruger Park.

Singita Sweni Lodge (Lebombo Private Reserve, Kruger Park) South Africa -

At Singita Sweni, you will experience Africa - majestic, unfiltered and unadorned. You will look out from your timber and glass guest unit at the continent's vast canvas.

The new Sweni Lodge is set nearby amongst some of Africa's starkest beauty.

Bathed in quiet intimacy at the shaded edge of the Sweni river, the six suites enjoy an opulently appointed lounge, a dining area and pool, with a classic safari feel through the use of African artifacts, leather and khaki. Sweni Lodge continues in the Singita tradition of creating a lifelong experience out of a journey to Africa.

From the food and fine wines to game drives and the simple silence the wilderness imparts, the voyage promises to eternally transform one's spirit.

Game Viewing Activities:

Singita Sweni offers wonderful opportunities for big five sightings. The reserve is on the migration routes of many prey species, and sightings of lion, leopard and even the elusive Cape Hunting dog are common. Time spent at Singita is time spent at the very heart of the African wilderness, in a place that grew out of the bushveld.

Drinks are served in the bush at sunset as a gentle introduction to the nocturnal bush. At Singita Lebombo you can witness a spectacular lion kill, then wait for the spotted hyena to arrive. Undisturbed, a giraffe gives birth, lions mate, cubs suckle, a gigantic tree is toppled by an elephant. Take a morning walk with a Shangaan tracker and espy the little five - the rhino beetle, elephant shrew, buffalo weaver, ant lion and leopard tortoise.
